FREQUENTLY ASKED

Do you coach youth track and field athletes in Pittsburgh? +

Yes. Grace Athletic Club offers competitive track and field coaching for youth athletes in Pittsburgh, PA — sprints (100m, 200m, 400m), middle distance, long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, and javelin. We partner with Essential Strength for strength and conditioning, and recovery is built into every program so young athletes stay healthy all season.

Is there an adult community running club in Pittsburgh I can join? +

Absolutely. Grace is a community, not just a coaching service. Our adult running group meets regularly for coached group sessions, community time trials, and social events. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just getting back into it, there's a spot for you on this team.

Can you help me return to running safely after an injury? +

Yes — our Return to Run program is built for exactly this. Whether you've had a hamstring strain, Achilles issue, hip problem, or stress fracture, we walk you through a structured, phased process: assess mechanics, rebuild tissue tolerance, and progress you back to full running. Every phase includes recovery work and load monitoring so you don't re-injure.

I want to sprint and jump again — is it safe to start? +

Yes — and this is one of our most common entry points. The key is working with a coach who knows how to build you up progressively. Our adult sprint and jump programs include tissue preparation, gradual load progression, and recovery from day one, so you're never asked to do more than your body is ready for. The goal is sustainable speed for the long term.

Do you offer sprint coaching for masters or older adults (35+)? +

Yes. Our Sprinting for Older Adults program is specifically designed around the physiology and recovery needs of athletes 35+. We've coached masters competitors preparing for sanctioned meets and adults who simply want to feel fast again. Speed doesn't have an expiration date — it just needs the right approach.
